The Institute as the leader of the consortium in a project related to monitoring greening practices, carried out on the commission of the European Space Agency.

Participating in the Polish Industry Incentive Scheme programme, the Institute ? as the consortium leader ? obtained the approval of the European Space Agency to develop a prototype of a system for monitoring selected aspects of greeninig practices (within the framework of the Common Agricultural Policy). The WIZIPISI team is developing a concept of processing and classification of multitemporal series of satellite images (optical and radar) for the purpose of identification of selected crops and carrying out analyses related to diversification of crops on large-scale farms. The system will be implemented by the consortium member, i.e. the NEWIND S.A. company, whereas its material review will be carried out by the Space Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences (CBK ? PAN).
