The Institute is implementing a project entitled “TeleCyfro – the development of methods for information extraction from unstructured engineering documents using artificial intelligence in a remote work environment” under Sub-measure 1.1.1 of the Smart Growth Operational Program 2014-2020 co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund on the basis of a co-financing agreement concluded with the National Center for Research and Development.

The main goal of the project is to develop artificial intelligence algorithms for the task of automating the processing of analogue documents to its digital form, while reducing the need for hardware infrastructure and human resources. The project will result in a number of tools reducing costs and time needed to process the documentation while maximizing operational efficiency. Extraction of information from text documents with their context, detection and vectorization of elements on the map with spatial reference, or handwriting OCR are only the first items on the list of algorithms planned to be implemented.
